your notes never leave your device
Effective date: 25 August 2026 · Applies to the ANTY iOS app and this website.
The short version
ANTY does not collect your personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-up, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party analytics SDKs. Everything you write — your experiments, your day marks, your notes — is stored only on your iPhone.
What stays on your device
- Your notes and observations. Stored locally with Apple's SwiftData. They are never uploaded, never logged, and never included in analytics.
- Your experiments, day marks and insights. Local only. iCloud sync is not enabled in this version.
- App preferences — whether you have seen the onboarding, your analytics choice, and the date of the last reminder. Plain flags, no personal content.
If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to hand back or delete on request.
When the app talks to the internet
The app is offline-first. The loop, the preset reframe and reminders all work with no network at all.
One optional feature uses the network: live reframe. If you type a wish or a complaint and ask for suggestions, that text is sent to our server, which passes it to a language-model provider to generate three experiment options. In that case:
- only the text you typed is sent — never your notes, day marks or insights;
- the text is not stored or logged by us;
- the provider is configured not to retain the text or use it for training;
- an anonymous random identifier is sent to limit how many requests one device can make. It is not linked to you and can be reset by reinstalling the app.
If you never use live reframe, the app makes no network requests.
Analytics
Analytics are off by default. You can turn them on in the profile screen at any time, and off again.
When enabled, events carry categorical values only — for example that an experiment was created in a certain zone, or that a day was marked, or whether a note was attached (yes or no). The text of a note is never included. Events are not tied to your identity.
Notifications
Reminders are local — created and scheduled by your iPhone. No server sends you push messages, and no notification carries the content of your experiments or notes. Their texts are fixed, general questions. You are asked for permission before any reminder is scheduled, and you can withdraw it in iOS Settings.
What we do not do
- No accounts, no email or phone required to use the app.
- No advertising, no ad identifiers, no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
- No third-party SDKs in the app.
- No selling or sharing of personal data — we do not hold any to sell.
- No profiling and no automated decisions about you.
Beta testing (TestFlight)
The app is distributed for testing through Apple TestFlight. Apple provides testers with crash reports and basic usage data under Apple's own privacy policy; if you send feedback from TestFlight, Apple passes your message, and optionally a screenshot and device details, to us. This is Apple's mechanism, not ours, and it is separate from the app itself. If you email us instead, we see only what you write and your email address, and we use it only to reply.
Children
ANTY is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no data from anyone.
Your rights
Because your content never reaches us, there is no personal data of yours for us to access, correct, export or erase. You control all of it directly on your device: notes can be edited or removed in the app, and deleting the app removes everything. If you contact us by email, you may ask us to delete that correspondence at any time.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above is updated and the current version is published on this page.
